2020 Supra BCM swap?

Hello, here's the story: I own a 2020 Supra that has a damaged BCM due to a minor flood in my area. I managed to remove the BCM, and it was corroded from the water. I found a 2022 BCM for sale nearby and I am wondering if it will work with my 2020 model. And does it need to be reprogrammed? Also, the seller claims that it will work on 2020, 2021 and 2022 models.

My understanding is that BDC/BCM cannot be swapped like that from salvaged parts. It is possible the dealer could reprogram it, but they barely know how to do anything with this car.
