lol at 143F IAT's.
Anything over 110 F in my 01 Corvette would trigger the ECU to retard the ignition. That's why I had installed a cold air "scoop" of sorts under the engine. After that, temps rarely exceeded 90 degrees.

Good to know.....perhaps a CAI is in my future.
OEM takes air from the outside. The Supra is turbocharged. The actual charge temps pre intercooler are more like 300F+. The IAT you are seeing on that gauge is most likely after the intake manifold intercooler.

I'm assuming it was 70F+ out that day.

Yes, it was low to mid 70s today. So the OEM intake path is essentially a CAI, correct?

Sorta kinda. It takes air in right behind the right headlight.

My point is, the turbo heats the air up a ton, the intercooler cools it.

Bryan, do you think that the dealership will be concerned when they see my ScanGauge in the car?

Depends on the dealership. I personally avoid them like the plague.
The thing that worries me a bit is that the manual states that using a device that plugs into the OBD II port can have (in some words) negative consequences with the car's electronics. They could take note of the device in case a electronics issue while under warranty surfaces.

I'm the wrong person to ask about dealers and warranties. ;)

My cars haven't seen a dealer for like 20 years. 95% of the time they just make things worse.

I can see why; the warranty department would have a field day! :)

Side note: While my ScanGauge is plugged in with the car on, the auto stop/start feature is disabled - a definite plus!
