Just a heads up: the top of the BimmerGeeks OBD-II adapter simply snaps on to the body. If you aren't careful trying to get it out of the car (mine fit VERY tight and there is little room to get a decent grip), the top comes off and breaks off one of the circuit boards.
Soooo be careful 😂 Otherwise, you are no longer coding anything in the car. Like me LOL.

Just be really careful. Maybe, preemptively find a way to keep the cat from coming off. If I get another one, I'm going to run the tip of my soldering iron around the edges to make sure that shit is sealed up lol
But mostly, just be extra, extra, EXTRA careful when pulling it out of the car. I have a feeling mine was just harder to push in and out than some others.
