Amazing. I’ve never polished a vehicle before, but I figured why not start somewhere. Gonna do the work truck first and then move on up to the Supra once I get a hang of it lol

~ the right products and pads are key as well. for a one-step polish... this is what I opted for (no dust). many options out there.

Id personally stay away from SPTA/Chemical Guys type companies. They just make cheap knock offs of the real stuff. And polish/pads is not a spot to cheap out in.

Youd be perfectly fine with a few Rupes Yellow pads and Sonax Perfect Finish if you want to do a 1 step.

Do you use this kind of thing on a car that's PPF'd ? Ceramic coated?

Yeah I’ve used some of their chemicals for other cleaning purposes but I’d be looking at different companies for this stuff. Especially for a first timer like myself. My car has light swirls, mostly noticeable on the a pillars but I figured it’d need some tlc since it’s never had a correction done.

Polishers are use to correct the paint before PPF and Ceramics are applied.

You CAN use a light polish on some PPFs to fix imperfections, but you really have to know what youre doing with heat management.

Compounding/polishing is actually the only way to remove a ceramic coating.

Interesting I have been using Zanio produces on all Corvettes thru the years .
This is a good subject moving forward
Got Me a new 2023 Supra and do my own detailing I think we should go unto this more like i love natural paint and like to bring it to high luster with protection also this is important for a virgin paint job I have won many 1st place for paint no small fiber lines in sun at dusk .
