I swear I have seen something online but cannot find it for the life of me. How do you remove the silver trim that is in the back rests of our seats? I am getting my seats re-done I red but would like to know how to remove the oem trim so I can give my upholstry shop a head up. Getting the seats done and red and cannot wait. Thanks for any tip everyone. 👍.

I believe you have to carefully pry them up from the bottom and pull out at the same time. They're in there good but should pop out.

And I stress the word CAREFULLY. It is German plastic. 😁🫣
Well in that case it might be a good idea to do the prying after the seats have been left in the sun for an hour or two. The plastic they use these days for car trims and even electrical connectors are way more brittle in cooler temps. In the warmer summer weather they are noticeable less prone to fracturing when dis assembling. Either that or some judicious heat gun application.

Bottom is hooks. Used flat panel tool to remove top tabs first. Comes right out.
