I changed my cabin micro filter today in the Supra... you have to nearly be a damn contortionist to do so. Oh my!

I thought it would have been dirtier than it was at 3.5 years old and 9,500 miles. A fresh one can't hurt.

Many vehicles require simply removing the glove box door. I typically change my wife's cabin and engine air filters every 10,000 miles.

The Mazdas we have are such a piece of cake - glove box is the way to go!

I’m not looking forward to doing the Supra again 😢

Ford is no better btw. I swear I hated doing our Mustang and now my daughters Fiesta 😣

Mazda and Lexus  Of course, my MX5 doesn't have one, since driving with the top down defeats the purpose of having a cabin filter in the first place!🙂

~ It's located at the passenger side upper firewall area.

Just very tight quarters to access. Hand turn two tight clips to remove the lower plastic panel, then remove two T20's bolts, squeeze the tabs on the end in the filter cover to loosen, then disconnect the vent tube and the cover to the filter to access.

Lastly schedule an appointment with your local chiropractor. 🤪

Agree 100% with Mazda's. Another reason I should have stuck with all Mazda's. Haha.

Honestly, removing the passenger seat takes 5-10 minutes tops. It's way easier to remove it, and just lay on your back with your feet in the hatch.

It'll shave like 45 minutes off the job.

BMW probably designed a special tool for the job, doubtful they are removing the seat for this common maintenance item...... :p

Yes it's a PIA maneuver wise to do but after doing mine the first time and gaining knowledge on what's involved...I could probably change it again in less than 15 minutes.

Changing the filter is easy. There's nothing to it, it's just incredibly hard to reach. especially if you're a big fat ass like me.
