Interesting, I'm guessing it's to do more with the replacement of rubber bushings with spherical bearings & heim joints more than any geometry change?
Yes, the bushings are Grand Touring car level. Big difference when swapping them out.

That said, I didn't expect them to be M level or higher when I bought the car. Good thing bushings are easy to change.

Coming from Evos, the Supra even with SPL toe and traction bars in the rear, I can't feel shit all of whats going on back there. I learned to anticipate how the car would react and that made me faster (and not crash). This winter I will be swapping out more bushings.

That said, the car is way fast on track even with stock bushings/arms, you just need to trust it because you can't feel anything.

While many of my gripes are solvable with aftermarket solutions (more composed suspension, better looking steering wheel, confident horn), the one thing that will always bother me is the relative lack of steering feel. Yes, the steering is accurate, and the car turns in beautifully, but the wheel is mostly dead. I've got an aggressive track alignment on mine now (0 front toe, -3 neg camber), but it made no difference in feel. It's surely due to the BMW electric power steering setup, which is a real shame in an otherwise great driving, and very capable car.
I think you'll find that a more aggressive swaybar changes your feeling on this topic. Agree that the factory wheel feel is vague.

Dashboard/gauge cluster has way too much blank wasted space, "premium" stereo system is pretty underwhelming, no exterior trunk release button, cupholder position is awkward, no mount points for a cargo net in the trunk, no remote start, wind buffeting, and of course untuneable ECU :(

All relatively minor problems though.

Just got a 2023, I would just say the stereo sucks and the leather seats are already wearing with just 700 miles. The stereo in my 2014 Audi RS5 blows this one out of the water. I still love my supra tho!

What are the mechanics behind this? I've never related "big bar" with "big feel."

In my own case, I felt like the Supra needed too much steering wheel movement to effect a change in the direction of the vehicle. A stiffer swaybar helps with this by making the car more responsive on turn-in. Supra is also a touring car from the factory, so intentionally a bit mushy all around. The stiffer sway bar necessarily takes out some of the mushiness by tightening up (increasing) the frequency of suspension compression and reducing body roll whether through turning or pavement undulation. More of that feel is transferred to you, the driver, as slop is taken out.

I don't claim to be a suspension geometry genius, but an aggressive sway bar and beefy endlinks are always one of my first mods. It makes the car feel more confident, more direct, and takes out the wide deadzone around steering center.

A stiffer sway bar is especially impactful on a MacPherson strut setup, which is prone to losing negative camber in a turn. That also makes steering less responsive, so measures to keep that phenomenon in check can also help with steering feel.

Unfortunately mine wasn't a Quad 😭. I had a Q4 TI sport. But yes the steering feel on that car was amazing. Also the Alfa steering wheel and paddles made the Supra's wheel and dinky paddles feel that much worse.
I'll have to disagree here. I had early year 86 for almost 5yrs, recently drove 2022 Giulia Veloce (280hp awd). The steering was... disappointing at best. Not even in a same sentence as my Supra (equipped with Eibach sways and springs), faaar behind 86 too. Big let down for me. But I liked those big Ferrari-like paddles a lot :)

I have a 2023 Supra premium and have driven it about 1100 miles so far. I think that the wind buffeting problem is not that bad as people have said and the car is excellent at all driving conditions that I have experienced so far. The steering is a little vague but easily gotten used to.
The cup holders are not great but usable. The sound system in my car is not that bad and so far not creaks or rattles of any type. I love this car and wish I had gotten one sooner.

DUUUUDE, when I wash the car, right after the wheels are squeaky clean, the wheel gets covered almost instantly just from backing out a few feet :bs:
Replace the pads with low dust ceramic

I know people really don’t like the stock wheel, but I don’t hate it.

I don’t think it “looks” the best, but it has similar thickness to my last aftermarket wheel, and the circle shape (not flat bottom) slides through the hands easy when getting sideways a bit.
