You should hit up @StudioRSR for a cage
They are in SoCal. Idealy I would like to get their cage as it seems like a nice product, though I would like to get it installed in NorCal. I emailed them a week and a half ago, no response. Guess they don't want my 2.5k haha.

I know they are pretty busy but I feel like it would be worth the drive down there! Make a little staycation out of a long weekend down there or something!

I will second RazorLabs suggestion.

at least up to a few years ago, when I was still racing, TC Design was very highly regarded among local racers.

Not a Corvette.
Do they only do custom fab or would they also be willing to do a pre-fab install too e.g. Studio RSR Cage
He would most likely laugh at the RSR bar. If you are looking for a real safety device, go to Tony. If you are looking for parking lot cred, get a Studio RSR bar.

Agreed. The S-RSR bar uses rivnuts to attach to the car. Not a serious safety device.

Doteki Auto Solutions (DAS) has a prebuilt rollbar solution like Studio RSR, but it has 4 baseplates that weld into the chassis. Safest prebuilt bar on the market.

Sounds like TC Design would be a really solid custom option, and undoubtedly convenient to your location. Envious you have multiple semi-local options. I had my DAS bar shipped and found a local welder to install, but Iā€™m really happy with it. DAS is a newer shop dedicated to race development for our platform exclusively. Check them out!

A custom bar is probably the same price or less than an RSR bar and will work better.

I was the first to do a Walker Pro Motorsports (Austin, TX) bar but theyā€™ve done a ton since I brought my car in last December. They can make them in any color and ship them as well.

etc

It bolts to base plates that weld on the frame rails and side impact beam.

Both RSR and DAS has a bend in the main hoop legs which basically makes it a glorified harness bar.

The WPM unit that Kyle posted is probably the best option Iā€™ve seen to date, requires a little welding for base plates but completely worth it to have a proper roll bar.

Hit up Rich @dotekias on Instagram, I 100% recommend him. Best cage and aero in the market, along with tons of other parts such as their fuel system.

They are developing tons of stuff to take this platform to the next level on the track. Heā€™s in Sacramento area.

What would you consider a fair price for a roll/harness bar (+install) in general. I just got an invoice and I have a bit of sticker-shock.

I feel like there are other options out there?

Itā€™s not cheap, for sure. I paid a third party shop for a turnkey install of the DAS harness bar. They removed interior and seats, sagged gas tank, stripped/sanded interior paint at 4 welding points, welded in and painted plates and brackets, cut and reinstalled interior. When you consider the time it takes to tack in plates, test fit, adjust, retack, its a lot of time and in and out the car and probably requires 2 people to get it right. Iā€™d expect to pay 1200-2000 in labor on top of whatever you pay for a bar.
