Man, wonder why your wait is so long? Thats pretty gutting. I ordered June and due to receive it end of december/january. Its made and sitting on the warf at the moment collecting as much sea salt and rust as it can. Mines an auto though

That's new. I've been following all the rumors - there's even a pie in the sky thread on here too - and in my opinion, the only reasonable evidence against the Z4/Supra line shuttering in the next two years is the introduction of the V8 Supra Supercar. To me, it makes little sense to invest in a car that's about to be discontinued but, as many, many will attest, I have been wrong before. And Australia is such a tiny market, I'd suggest that what we do (or what our Toyota executives say in press releases) is unlikely to affect a globally planned production.

If the "Toyota Supra GR Track" is just another variant of the 45th, it'll be good for current owners as I don't think that kind of marketing would work here. Maybe it's for an Australian non-street race version ala GT4 to tie in with the Supercar offering? Or maybe, as Drive.com.au end up admitting, it could just be a nothing burger.

I guess all we can do is wait and see. What colour did you order?
Also, as annoying as anecdotal evidence goes, I was on a boat with a former executive at Toyota Australia who claimed the GRMN would definitely be coming, but this was in early 2024. I was subsequently told if it did come it would be a Japan only special. Iā€™m not holding my breath either way, the car is perfect for its purpose and its performance is beyond the upper limit of what you can enjoy in NSW (if not in Australia) given how strict road rules are.

Honestly, Iā€™m kind of happy to wait for it. For context, Iā€™m 27 and fairly new to the workforce and itā€™s totally a financially reckless decision and I acknowledge it makes me probably look dumb as rocks to most people. I am trying to work up as much cash as possible so Iā€™m not drowning in debt on it. So to this extent, a 9-12 month wait is perfect for me.

Also, sorry to hear about the long wait for you - hope it gets to you before the end of the year! You better share some pics when it lands!

I went with absolute zero white - if I had a choice, Iā€™d go for gun metal silver or something like that. I donā€™t find the Toyota colours to be that exciting as a whole, which is fine, given how awesome the car is as a whole. Now the waiting game begins!
Yep, had the exact same issue. That gunmetal color from a few years ago was just perfect. Also went with White as wasn't impressed with any of the other colors. The Matte Grey is amazing but I'm not up for the maintenance required to look after it.

Good luck with the wait.

Maannnnn! Now Toyota is telling me 2-2.5 months before the car is delivered.
Apparently its built and sitting on the docks absorbing as much salt water and pollution as it can. So that's nice
They promised me November. I'm now actively looking for a 23 or 24 Blue auto and they can keep their lies. Whatever I can get first wins

If it arrives in January your wait times will still be many months earlier than 90% of other Aussies. Some of he people in this thread waited up to 13 months. Ordering a MKV requires some patience.

I think it's worse since the bloke working on my mkIV has consistently missed every timeline I've asked for. Was supposed to have it back a long time before now and I could be driving it again.
Wanted to go to a few things in either car and I can't do either one.
I'll just get back in my Mazda 3 and make vroom vroom noises

LMFAO. Looks like our "track" edition is actually just a regular "partially upgraded" Supra. šŸ˜‚ The actual track focused Final Edition doesn't look to be coming here. Also, and not in our Aussie press release, Toyota has confirmed 2025 is the final year of the MKV.. as expected.

https://pressroom.toyota.com.au/PressRelease?pr-code=3373d87e-8ed6-4c07-acf3-6c5be6839bf7
So it sounds like a good way to go if youā€˜re looking to buy your 1st Supra and track butā€¦. nothing earth shattering. Hope theyā€™re not looking at charging a lot more for it. There are so many track parts available for this car, you can usually buy parts that are better than the OEM offerings.

What I got out of a quick read of the press release:
1) Ability to add more negative camber is great. But how much? Most of us will get camber plates or adjustable lower control arms to get what you really need, for any track car - Porsche included.
2) Better sway bars are nice. But again, most will get ones where you can adjust, say softer up front and stiffer in the rear.
3) The best part, bigger front brakes (calipers). As long as you can find track pads for it. The size available to us currently has a plethora of pads available. Keeping cost down for really good track pads.

Was looking at whats included in the Final Edition one. The Akrapovic exhaust is over 6kUSD, the carbon seats are $3.5kea. If it was available here it would probably be priced $130k plus.
Otherwise its a downpipe and a tune, thats about all that's exciting. And the KW's I guess

I wouldn't be surprised if Toyota Australia try and sell the bullshit Australian track edition at somewhere near this price, with the two other trims coming along for the price bump ride.

And I believe those seats are closer to $7,000AUD each. šŸ˜¬

The seats look great, but it seems they are entirely manual in terms of adjustment. I would have preferred something like the electronically adjustable seats found in the BMW M3. If someone truly wants a track-focused edition, itā€™s definitely possible to achieve. Besides, it seems like Toyota simply drew inspiration from the aftermarket for their design.

Toyota Australia announced on their website the Track Edition will be available for order from January 2025. Pricing to be provided closer to then.

It will come in a matte black colour - I expect it will be a third grade, in addition to the GT and GTS spec. Iā€™d imagine theyā€™ll want something like $120,000 for it - which is kind of hard to justify given itā€™s just an extra colour option, and some adjustments youā€™re only likely to notice if you track the car.

I think I might stick to my ordered GT.
