flex fuel issue EDIT: resolved

Hey I installed a flex fuel kit from Visconti and when I went to tune the car it’s not reading ethanol. I’ve redone the wiring made sure everything is good like the guide. It’s showing 65535 as the can bus input code. Which means it’s not sending/receiving canbus signal? I’ve re done the can bus wires numerous times now. And am kinda stumped

could a connector in the kit be faulty possibly?

This would be me and why I’m still on 93. Good luck dude! I’m sure someone will figure it out for ya. In a few years when I can’t get better lap times and think the engine won’t run hotter, it’d be fun to try.

I know you said you double checked canbus....but I forgot to connect the two pin connector by the canbus connection.

I made sure I had all connections connected lol

It is blinking when in diagnostic mode.

It says 65535 which is no communication with the ethanol box. Unless I have a bad connector or something I’m not sure why it wouldn’t have a signal.

There is no E85 in the tank but all fuels have like 10% ethanol so it should pick that up. Also tuner informed me it’s not reading ethanol

You're correct. If CAN Input Status is reading 65535, there's no signal to can. You can test the connectors with toning them out with any volt meter.
