When they are serious about running a speed trap no radar/laser detector will help. I’m talking about having the laser operator set up on an overpass or in the woods or otherwise hidden with the rest of the troops positioned around the corner to to make the stops. Your laser detector in these cases is better described as a ticket notification device. I gave up on detectors when LiDAR became a thing. All it took was as that very quick short beep followed by noticing the guy in the rest area parking lot in a regular looking old beat up suv pointing the gun at me. There were like 10 marked cops just waiting on the back side to come get us…

WAZE and just paying attention has kept me ticket free for a very long time. I can’t remember my last ticket but I am fairly conservative. I typically stay around 10 over, sometimes a little more, but I stay away from the reckless driving scenarios.

I jam LiDAR from 5 miles away. I can even jam dragoneye easily.

Welp, not very. “Stealth the car, not the install” is the common answer. But there are options.

Alp has the best jamming, but almost equally great + hidden is called the stinger. It’s generally 2-3 times more expensive to get stinger than an ALP install.

Laser jammers are a small ticket in my state, but if I lived it Virginia / California etc where laser jamming is an arrestable offense then I would have went with stinger.

For about $50 more I got a radenso instead of an R3. It has gps, auto updates and less urban false alarms. Mounted to visor with a radenso visor mount, powered by mirror.

The uniden r9 package includes laser jamming and it even james the dragoneye. People are running these or ALP with no issues and it gives you more enough time to slow down.

Sorry, was not trying to say the R7 didn’t, I’ve been running the auto lockout firmware since it was released. I meant the R4 is a better deal than the R3 now because it has that feature.
